A War of Honor, a Victory for Peace

The smoke was thick from the fog of war, surrounded by the near by towers, Orcs, The Forsaken, Tauren & Blood Elves lay about silent after the frenzied chaos of clashes, thundering hooves and battle cries. The shattering of cold bones, and searing heat still echoed in my ears as I sat on the steps of Frost Wolf Keep. I still remember the look in Drek'thar’s eye as he fell, and the cheer within the Keep, booming after the victory. And word that the horde has been defeated at Dun Baldar came swiftly.
Balinda Stonehearth, mentioned she had seen some of my people, wearing the tabard of the Danann tree.
Answering the Call to Arms was a quick decision, word that the war campaign beginning came with no warning, and 4 long days of clashing with the Horde seemed like an age past in a different world. There were heroes here from different realms, different lands, all charging on horses, tigers and other beasts through the snow, the trees, frost and valleys. None, a familiar face to me, but nodded in respect in passing by.
“I was asked, to give you these!” called a voice entering Frost Wolf. Looking up to the familiar voice I looked up to see Kiddman walking towards me with a large Velvet bag slung over her shoulder, Corius waved entering the Keep behind her.
“How can you fight in all this plate? Its so heavy!” She said pulling out the shoulder plate armour from the bag, and started re-fitting my old shoulders with the new reward. “How can you fight with so little?” I asked in return. “Fur!” she replied, I began to laugh.
“Corius?” i asked,
“…I was late arriving” He replied, “..but the Horde are re-gathering so there’s still time yet” he smiled. “And Gallbatorix said I’m not to leave until I earn that staff!”
In the distance, a horn was sounding,
“Orcs,.. Nad time to leave” Kiddman offered her hand.
“Agreed!” snatching her hand, I gathered my gear, rising from the steps I looked at Corius, “I’ll be a while…” he said in reply to the questioning look. Shaking his hand in respect, I removed my hearthstone from my bag, and stood next to Kiddman, ready to leave.
“Did you miss us?” she asked
“Completely” I replied, standing infront on my druid friend.
The rumble of stamping feet could be felt through the soft soil of the Keep, the Orc horn again blowing, louder “Stand your guard!!” came the shout above the army that remained, Corius poised with his staff with the verbs of the spell yet to come, out of the corner of his eye he saw the flash of green as Nadia Storm and Kiddman left the Valley. Gripping his warlocks staff tightly, he grinned at the horizon at the swarm of Horde crashing through the Keep gates. “…I will be a while, indeed!”

“Fire!”
